NM 2024 Legislative Session

In January, our board members, staff, and a handful of our volunteers traveled to the Roundhouse in Santa Fe to lobby our local legislators. We’re asking them to come together and collectively allocate $12m of Capital Outlay funds towards the City of Las Cruces’ 2022 Master Plan for Cocinas de Peregrinos & Cocinas El Caldito. This plan would provide El Caldito with a new, larger kitchen, double our seating capacity, and allow us to provide emergency food relief in the event of a natural disaster or other crisis situation.
