The 31st Annual Empty Bowls

In the heart of our community, the annual Potters’ Guild of Las Cruces Empty Bowls event  stands as a beacon of compassion and unity. Each year, this remarkable event—benefitting El Caldito Soup Kitchen—brings together individuals from all walks of life, bound by a common purpose; to combat hunger and nourish the spirit of giving. The concept is simple yet powerful: patrons purchase a beautifully crafted, handmade bowl, which serves as a poignant reminder of the empty bowls too many in our community face daily. The symbolism is a call to action, urging us to join hands in the fight against hunger.

The atmosphere at the Empty Bowls Fundraiser is both heartwarming and inspiring. Local artisans generously contribute their time and talent to create a stunning array of unique bowls, turning the event into a celebration of creativity and philanthropy. As attendees select their one-of-a-kind bowl, they are not just acquiring a piece of art but investing in a cause that resonates deeply within our community. The funds raised during this event play a vital role in supporting El Caldito Soup Kitchen’s mission to provide warm meals and essential services to those experiencing homelessness and food insecurity.

Beyond the tangible impact of the fundraiser, there is a sense of camaraderie that permeates the event. Volunteers, donors, and attendees alike share stories, laughter, and a common commitment to making a positive change. The Potters’ Guild of Las Cruces Empty Bowls fundraiser is more than just an event; it is a collective effort to fill not only empty bowls but also hearts, fostering a community where compassion and generosity flourish.
